On the 5th of December 2013 Mary attended the “Volunteering A CAPITAL Experience EXPO”. The expo showcased the diverse range of volunteering opportunities that are available to people of all ages and from all walks of life in the Capital region. It was an opportunity for organisations to promote their volunteering programs to the general community and attract and recruit people who are actively seeking a volunteering position

The EXPO was held at Albert Hall in celebration of International Volunteer day was open to the public over two days. With 64 exhibitors showcasing their volunteering programs and current vacancies, the EXPO provided the perfect opportunity for people looking to get involved in volunteering to talk directly to organisations.

Individuals were also able to get organisational and roles specific information making the volunteering experience extremely accessible, encouraging a positive volunteering experience for both organisation and volunteer.
