Recently Mary launched a handy reference guide to community and government grants, namely Your Grants Directory 2010.

“As the Member for Ginninderra I often speak with people who have an idea for a project that would benefit the community, but are not sure of how to bring the particular project to life,” Mary said. “Others already provide a valuable service, but are concerned that the service is unsustainable without additional funding.”

The Directory is designed to assist organisations and individuals to quickly identify grants that are of benefit, as well as creating an awareness of what is on offer. It contains information on grants available from the ACT Government, Federal Government, clubs and foundations.

Although the Directory will be updated on an annual basis, as funding programs tend to be susceptible to change, for the most up-to-date information you are encouraged to contact each source.

“I hope that the Directory proves to be a useful tool for the community,” Mary concluded.

If you require further information or need assistance with applying for grants, such as support letters, or assistance with any other matter of concern to you, please contact Mary’s office or visit her at any of her mobile offices. Information on these regular mobile offices can be found on her website at www.maryporter.net.
