A total of $269,000 in heritage grants has been handed out to 22 Canberra organisations and programs to protect the history of the region.
One recipient is local historian Alan Foskett whose grant will be used to research and produce a document on the history and settlement of the suburb of Campbell.
Mr Foskett was part of the team that worked on the planning and development of Canberra 50 years ago when Campbell was developed.
The grants also include funding for restoration of historic homestead sites and cultural heritage training for indigenous organisations.
