As many within the Belconnen community know, Kaleen Primary School recently celebrated its 35th birthday with celebrations at the school, including of course the all important cutting of the birthday cake and a raffle.

Mary was honoured to join staff, parents, volunteers and students, past and present, for the celebration of such an important event, congratulating everybody on the outstanding achievements of the school and its important role in the community over its 35 years.
“As the mother of 3 children, 2 step children and 11 grandchildren, I know a well rounded education is one of the best opportunities we can give them.

“This is because it’s through a good education that a strong and a just and equitable society, full of potential is realised. For thirty five years Kaleen Primary has played a key role in this regard.

“Kaleen Primary School boasts an outstanding reputation, evident not only through the students’ academic achievements, including maths enrichment, but also Japanese and chess, robotics, music and sports.

“As we celebrate the Kaleen Primary School’s 35th anniversary, we must acknowledge the contribution of the Principal, Ms Grace Dunlop, her staff, students, parents, volunteers and all those who, over the years, made this school the success it is today,” Mary concluded.
