Mary does her part at National Tree Day
Mary recently joined over 200 other volunteers from the ACT and region to take part in tree planting at the Lower Cotter Catchment. The event was organised by Greening Australia as part of National Tree Day.
Throughout the day over 3,000 seedlings were planted in the Cotter. Volunteers also enjoyed a session with Adrian Brown, a Caring for Ngunnawal Country Ranger of ACT Parks and Conservation, who shared some of his expert knowledge about how the traditional custodians managed the land for centuries.
