Recently Mary attended the ACT Lifeline Volunteer Dinner to thank over 250 dedicated volunteers who volunteer their time to support Lifeline in providing their amazing 24/7 assistance to those in need.

The Christmas in July themed night was full of festivities, including dance performance from Casablanca Enterprises. The night ended with everyone receiving a small present from under the Christmas tree.

The ACT Lifeline Volunteer Dinner recognised the outstanding and extensive work of Lifeline volunteers and celebrates their dedication to such a successful and unfortunately vital service.

“As a former President of Volunteering Australia and CEO of Volunteering ACT, I recognise the important role volunteers play in our community. I particularly recognise the remarkable assistance Lifeline provides to people living with mental health issues and others overcoming adversity, Mary said.

‘The contribution of volunteers to the ACT community and surrounding areas is vital glue that binds and strengthens our community, yet often goes unrecognised. This is why the ACT Lifeline Volunteer Dinner was such a great event.’ Mary said.
